Product Development & Application
Manager Polypropylen (m/f)

In Mannheim we are looking for a Polymer Chemist / Polymer Engineer to join our Technology Department to fill the position of a Product Development and Application Manager (m/f) in the field of Polypropylene at earliest date possible.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Initiates and manages product development projects according to the company project management process
  • Documents and presents work results
  • Provides technical support and services to our customers worldwide in the field of product development and application
  • Overlooks the polypropylene market worldwide
  • Supports our customers in developing their product portfolio and marketing strategy
  • Interacts with our technology licensing business in bidding and proposal processes
  • Works together with other departments in our organization (e.g. laboratory, technology, sales, key account management)
  • Overlooks technical publications and IP environment in the field and provides support to patent work
  • Represents Novolen on conferences and shows

 

Profile:

 

  • College degree -higher degree preferred- in Chemistry or Engineering with strong background in polymer science / polymer processing, preferable in the field of polypropylene
  • Advanced knowledge in polymer materials and / or polymer processing demonstrated by 2+ years professional experience in the industry or doctoral degree is required
  • Strong customer focus, understands the needs of clients
  • Fluent business German and English skills are required, further language skills would be a plus
  • Structured, solution oriented work approach and capability to work in teams
  • Good verbal, and written communication and presentation skills
  • Interpersonal and multicultural skills
  • Self-motivated and dependable working style, willingness to take over responsibility – also when under high work load
  • Skilled in using standard software and new communication media
  • Willingness to travel worldwide
